Search engine optimization, or SEO, is the act of altering or optimizing your website and it’s content in order that search engines deem it to be relevant and useful to certain topics. You are able to select the most appropriate topics through the use of certain keywords in your website.
When surfers conduct searches on search engines they are presented with a list of results for that search term. These results are called Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) and generally speaking, the websites that appear at the top of the SERPs will receive plenty of traffic to their websites from searchers.
In order to determine your position on the SERPs, search engines use their own algorithms. While nobody knows for absolute certain what these algorithms are it is widely accepted that your website needs to be easy to navigate, popular and relevant.
Easy navigation means that your site should have text links to each of its pages. If you use a flash menu system then you should include a sitemap in order that search engines and visitors can quickly and easily find their way around the whole of your website.
In order to make your website appear popular you need to get links to your site. While search engines would rather these links were generated because visitors to your site genuinely found your content useful, it is commonplace to undertake a reciprocal link campaign or generate inbound links. Reciprocal links mean a website links to you in exchange for a link to their own site.
Relevance is judged by your content. By including the keywords you place in the metatags of your site throughout the body of your content and in certain places within your site you are indicating to the search engines that your website contains relevant information.
By combining these factors you can effectively convince search engines that you deserve to be near the top of their SERPs. However, this can take time and a lot of effort if you don’t fully understand what you are doing.

If you are looking for more website traffic, there are several marketing strategies you can do to increase your traffic. Knowing and understanding each one is crucial to determining which ones work best for you. If you use trial and error, you can quickly discover which marketing is generating more website traffic for you. Here are 7 ways to create more website traffic.
Clickbank Account
Clickbank is a product directory on the internet that allows you to sell various products through your website. When people begin searching for the product you offer they can end up at your site. It only takes 5 minutes to sign up for an account and it can create much more website traffic for you.
Submit To Search Engines
If you submit a site map to the search engines you have a better possibility of them examining your site more often. With visits from search engine spiders you will get more website traffic as your site climbs higher on the search engines.
Tell a Friend
By placing a “tell a friend” script on your website, you give visitors the option to refer your website to others. If you continuously add new content you will build up a list of returning visitors who will begin referring your website to others, thus generating more website traffic.
Article Marketing
There is almost no better way to get more website traffic today than article marketing. By writing articles you can use keyword optimization while placing a ad for your website on the bottom of the article. Then all you have to do is submit the article to various ezines and newsletters. You can then place articles on your own website giving people the impression that you are an expert on whatever it is your website is on, which will create more traffic and return visitors as well.
Press Releases
This form of marketing is often overlooked by internet marketers. It is a completely free way to quickly generate more website traffic easily. All you have to do is have a subject announcing a new product you sell or something newsworthy and submit it to online press release companies. If it is written well enough you can then have it be picked up by top search engines such as yahoo and google.
Affiliate Programs
If you sell a product or e-book on your website you should set up an affiliate program. This will allow visitors the chance to join your affiliate program and sell your product for you. Now you have a business within a business and this will allow you to receive more website traffic.
If you team up with a company that sells similar products, you can swap links and promote each others’ business as well. This will allow you to get more website traffic from their site to yours.

Every time I release a free e-book to my subscribers, I get great feedback about how awesome I am and how they could NEVER create anything so cool.
((sigh))
I have a confession to make. You see … it is really really simple to make a short, viral e-book. It’s not rocket science, I promise.
If you know how to use Word for Windows, you can create an e-book. Now, as far as doing market research to find out if anyone will *buy* your e-book — that’s a whole ‘nother ball game. But, if you want to make a nice little giveaway for some viral marketing, it’s easy as pie!
Step 1: Write your e-book in Word for Windows.
As you write it, keep the following in mind:
* This e-book should serve a purpose, either to generate traffic to your website or to make affiliate sales. However, it should also be informative and useful to the reader. This e-book will represent your company. Make it quality.
* Double check that all links are active before you save your final copy in Word.
* Keep your images and pictures small, because you don’t want the final product to have a large file size. When you’re saving your images, test the file types. I find that saving an image in .jpg is smaller than saving it in some other file sizes. Test yours, too.
Step 2: Go to my favorite tool, http://convert.neevia.com/
See where it says “Select the file”? Browse to your Word for Windows file and click Upload and Convert
That’s all there is. Like I said, EASY EASY EASY.
Now, it’s your job to get your ebook into the hands of people.
1. Send it to your mailing list or newsletter.
2. Allow your friends to give it away.
3. Submit it to free e-book directories.
4. Use it as an enticement for people to sign up for your mailing list (You can say “Sign up and receive this cool e-book – free!”)
5. You can even give it away as a free gift to people who win your auctions on eBay to make your auction stand out from others.
So, if you’d like to have viral marketing working for you, too, get started today on your giveaway!
There is one hard and fast rule in generating income for your website: A steady flow of website traffic. If no one goes to your site, it hardly bares a chance of generating an income. Many sites have tried and failed in doing so, and these results to the sites demise. It takes money to maintain an income generating site; it also takes money to make money.
BUT, it doesn’t take a whole caboodle of cash to generate website traffic for your site.
Ever wonder how does big hit sites drive traffic top their site? Most of them are spending tons of money to drive the traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and different forms of marketing schemes and gimmickries. This is all worthwhile because, well, they are what they are now, high earning, big hitting websites.
You don’t have to do this if you don’t really have their resources. There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you don’t have or can’t afford. Many people have banked on high cost methods and have ended up losing their shirt over it.
Here I present to you the Top five ways to generate low cost website traffic that could help your site a whole lot. Even if you only get a small percentage of successful visitors in to client ratio it still works especially if you get a high number of website traffic.
Exchange Links
This is a sure and proven method. Rarely would you see a site where there is no link to another site. Many webmasters are willing to exchange links with one another so that they could produce more public awareness about their sites. You’ll soon see and feel the sudden upsurge of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites.
A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites is having the same niche or content as the other site. They should share a common subject so that there is continuity in the providing of service and information to what interests your target traffic.
Exchanging links also boosts your chances of getting a high ranking in search engine results. It is common knowledge that search engines ranks high sites that have inbound and outbound theme-related links. With a good ranking position in the search engines, you will generate more traffic in your website without the high costs.
Traffic Exchange
This is like exchanging links but on a different higher level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging or trading links but could be made cheaper because you get to earn credits. You can use those credits when viewing others traffic, while you earn credits when someone views yours.
Traffic exchange services are the viewing of another’s site or page. This is done vice versa where a site can use your sites contents and so can you to his or her site. You both benefit from each others efforts to generate traffic. The other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more about your site as well as theirs. Once again the public awareness of your sites existence is boosted.
Write and Submit Articles
There are many e-zines and online encyclopedias in the internet which provides free space for articles to be submitted. If you want to save costs, you can do the articles yourself. There are many freelance writers who are willing to write for you for a small fee, but to save money, it is wise to do those articles yourself.
Write articles that are themed along with the niche of your site. Write something that you have expertise on so that when they read it, they can feel your knowledge about the subject and will be eager to go to your site. Write articles that produce tips and guidelines to the subject or niche your site has.
Include a resource box at the end of your article that can link them to your site. Write a little about yourself and your site. If you provide a light, information-laden and interesting article, they will go to your site for more.
Make a Newsletter.
This may sound like hard work because of all the articles you may need to use to build a newsletter but on the contrary, this is not so. There are many writers and sites that are willing to provide free articles as long as they can get their name in on your newsletter. This will also provide free advertising for them as well.
As your newsletter gets pass around, you can widen your public awareness and build an opt-in list that can regularly visit your site.
Join Online Communities and Forums
This only requires your time and nothing else. You can share your knowledge and expertise with many online communities as well as your website. You can get free advertising when you go to forums that have the same subject or niche with your site.
Share your two cents and let them see how knowledgeable you are with the subject. As you build your reputation, you also build the reputation of your site, making it a reputable and honest business that could be frequented and trusted by many people.

If you have a website then you are certainly concerned with its rankings in search engines because you want to increase traffic to your website to increase revenues. Fortunately, with article submission services and directory submission you can increase the visibility of your website as well as its ranking in the search engines because you will be gaining one way links and visibility. Consider the following benefits of article submission and directory submission so you, too, can enjoy a high ranking from the popular search engines.
Article Submission
The benefit form article submission is not as much from the information in the article, but from the links embedded in the article that increase your rankings with the search engine. Search engines work on a variety of levels, one of them including the amount of links on the Internet pointing back to your website. As a result, the more links you have the higher you are ranked. So, part of your search engine optimization strategy should be to use article submission services. You simply write or buy an article and have links to your site and different pages in your site embedded in the article. Then, the article is submitted to various article directories and spread across the Internet as well. The more links you have the higher your search rankings and a great way to get a lot of links is to use article submission services. Remember, once your article is submitted with the embedded links to your site it is more than likely to stay on the Internet forever and you will have one way permanent links to your site that are always helping you in the search engine rankings.
Directory Submission
If you are interested in your website truly performing the best in search engine rankings then you will concern yourself with directory submission. There are thousands of different directories out there, some that apply to your website, and others that do not. By focusing on directory submission in the directories that are related to your site you will certainly increase your rankings. Of course, each directory has categories as well so it does take some research and effort to get your website submitted to all the directories in the right categories that really benefit your site. But, once you do you have a permanent listing of your website in the directory that will direct your target audience to your site day in and day out. Remember, however, that just any directory submission is not going to get you the traffic you want. You need to focus on submitting to directories that relate to your website in order to have your website directory submission in the location where your target audience is.
Directory Submission and Article Submission – Permanent Links
When you rely solely on other websites to host your link in order for you to host their, you are risking that other webmasters simply chose to remove your link and with it your Search Engine rankings go down. However, when you use article submission and directory submission in order to build links to your site and make your website more visible to your target audience you are basically receiving permanent links and advertisement for your site. The benefit of this is that with a little effort you can get your articles submitted and your website listed with the directories and then just sit back and enjoy the permanent links and higher search engine rankings you receive.

If you’ve read anything in the internet marketing arena while trying to promote your website, you’ve no doubt come across the advice that you need to get links to your website in order for it to do well in the search engines. I’m not here to tell you otherwise, only to point out that when someone gives you advice on getting links, don’t assume that any and all links are helpful or desirable. You need to learn to go after links that will give you the best results for the least amount of effort.
Years ago, in the early days of the internet, it was not uncommon for internet ‘gurus’ to council people to place links on FFA lists in order to get traffic. Besides these FFA lists, webmasters were encouraged to get links from classified ads, webrings, link farms and all manner of beasts like these. These links didn’t help the average user find useful information faster. In fact, if anything it made it more difficult for people to find what they were looking for.
Years ago search engines were simple by todays standards. Back then you could often achieve top ranking for a particular keyword by simply repeating these keywords over and over again. Early search engines assumed that the more often a keyword was mentioned, the more likely the page was relevant to the topic. This, of course, was not true and search engine companies eventually wisened up to this tactic.
Getting a mass of links from websites that are not relevant to the topic of your website produces little return. It does produce some return on some search engines but very little for the two biggest ones, Google and Yahoo, with Google being the most sophisticated of the two engines. Based on information from a Google patent application released a while back, experts surmise that Google will track a number of factors when determining how to rate the value and authority of the link pointing to your site.
Some of these factors include the topic of the website linking to you. If it is about deer hunting and your website is selling access to a website builder, the link won’t count as highly as if it came from another website promoting a website builder or a web hosting company, web hosting directory, etc…
Number of links on a page is also important especially when factoring in Google pagerank. When another website places a link to your page, it will transfer more pagerank to your website the fewer the links on their website. Depending on how much pagerank the other website has, your link may tansfer little or no pagerank back to your website if there are too many links on the page.
Placement of the link on the page is another factor to consider. Advanced search engines like Google are now trying to discount links that are obviously advertisements or paid linking. To this end, links under partner sections, on links pages, on ‘partner’ pages are being discounted.
So what kind of links should you get? The best kind of links are keyword rich, contextual links within the body of the web page. Links that are relevant to the context of the page are going to get more attention that links that are clearly off topic. Including your targeted keyword between the html anchor tag is also a good idea.

The methods employed to increase your search engine rankings may seem like rocket science to you, so you have probably avoided dealing with this issue. I am here to tell you – the time has come to face your website! A high search engine ranking for your website is so essential that if you have the slightest desire to actually succeed in your business, there is no way you can continue to avoid this issue.
At least 85% of people looking for goods and services on the Internet find websites through search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN. The idea of optimizing your pages for high search engine rankings is to attract targeted customers to your site who will be more than likely to make a purchase. The higher your page comes up in search engine results, the greater the traffic that is directed to your website. That’s what search engine optimization is about.
You can immerse yourself in all the technical information available online to figure out how to optimize your web pages to achieve higher rankings. Or you can look at a few simple items on your pages, make some small adjustments, and most likely see improved rankings quite rapidly. The first item you should examine is the title bar on your homepage.
The title bar is the colored bar at the top of the page. Look at the words that appear there when you access your home page. To increase search engine rankings, the words on your homepage’s title bar should include the most important keywords or phrases, one of which would include your company name.
Then click on all your links and examine the title bars on the pages you access. Each title bar on every single page of your site should contain the most important keywords and phrases taken from the page itself. However, avoid very long strings of keywords, keeping them to six words or less. Avoid repeating keywords more than once in the title bars, and make sure that identical words are not next to each other.
The next item to put under your microscope is your website content. Search engines generally list sites that contain quality content rather than scintillating graphics. The text on your site must contain the most important keywords – the words that potential customers will be typing into search engines to find your site.
Aim to have around 250 words on each page, but if this is not desirable due to your design, aim for at least 100 carefully chosen words. If you want to achieve a high ranking on search engines, this text is essential. However, the search engines must be able to read the text, meaning that the text must be in HTML and not graphic format.
To find out if your text is in HTML format, take your cursor and try to highlight a word or two. If you are able to do this, the text is HTML. If the text will not highlight, it is probably in graphic form. In this case, ask your webmaster to change the text into HTML format in order to increase your search engine rankings.
Next we come to what is called meta tags. I know this sounds like something out of science fiction, but it is really just simple code. Many people believe that meta tags are the key to high search engine rankings, but in reality, they only have a limited effect. Still, it’s worth adding them in the event that a search engine will use meta tags in their ranking formula.
To find out if your page is set up with meta tags, you must access the code. To do this, click the “view” button on the browser menu bar, and select “source.” This will pull up a window revealing the underlying code that created the page. If there are meta tags, they usually appear near the top of the window. For example, a meta tag would read: meta name=”keywords” content=. If you do not find code that reads like this, ask your webmaster to put them in. This may not do much for your search engine rankings, but any little boost helps.
Lastly, we come to the issue of link popularity. This is a factor that is extremely important in terms of search engine rankings. Almost all search engines use link popularity to rank your website. Link popularity is based on the quality of the sites you have linked to from your links page.
If you type in “free link popularity check” in a popular search engine, the search engine will then show you what sites are linked to your site. In the case that there aren’t many sites linked up to yours, or that the sites that are linked up have low search engine rankings, consider launching a link popularity campaign. Essentially, this entails contacting quality sites and requesting that they exchange links with your site. Of course, this requires checking out the rankings of the websites you want to link up with. Linking to popular, quality sites not only boosts your search engine ranking, but it also directs more quality traffic to your website.
Search engine rankings are extremely important for a successful Internet marketing campaign. Before you go out and hire a search engine optimization company, try taking some of the simple steps listed above, and see if you can’t boost your rankings yourself. Don’t ever ignore this all-important factor in Internet marketing. Remember, the higher your search engine ranking, the more quality customers will be directed your way.

What is SEM ?
Where SEM is an acronyms of Search Engine Marketing and which is the fastest, most powerful, highly-targeted, most dynamic, highly-measurable and most cost-effective marketing strategy that can give your business the power to reach potential customers anywhere in the world.
Search Engine Marketing or SEM is about making sure that your Web site appears on the top 20 of search results every time potential customers search for whatever products and/or services that you offer on any of the major Search Engines including Google, Yahoo and MSN.
So Search engine marketing is an alternative to traditional marketing such as commercials, brochures, and print advertising.
Types of SEM
There are two forms of search engine marketing today. They are:
1 – Natural search engine listings – such as those returned in numeric form on major search engines like Yahoo, Google and MSN.
2 – Paid search engine listings – such as those returned in sponsored areas of search results on these same engines and others that belong to their network.
What are natural search engine listings?
There are two kinds of search engine listings. Natural and Paid. Natural listings are the listings that are not paid for. They are determined by the search engines’ algorithms for finding, sorting and ranking pages based on relevancy. Because natural listings are considered “more accurate” by searchers, getting in natural listings is typically preferable to getting in paid listings.
What Is Paid search engine listings?

Anyone who owns a website knows the importance of website traffic. You may have a terrific idea for a website with an excellent product or service, superb design, content and functionality but if you do not use the right tactics, your site may not attract the all important highly targeted website traffic. Getting a lot of traffic into a site has very little to do with the site itself but with how the webmaster or site owner advertises it. With hundreds of competing sites, you must employ the most effective internet marketing techniques that will truly deliver results.
There are different internet marketing techniques that you can use. All these techniques and methods aim at increasing your website traffic. You must find a way for web surfers to find your site. To do this, you must put yourself in the shoes of your prospective visitors and future clients and see the internet through their eyes. Where do they usually go whenever they are looking up something on the web? The answer is the search engine; in fact, the two most popular websites on the web today are both search engines and portals. Thus, you should focus your internet marketing efforts on the search engine.
People will usually search for something using a search engine and click on the top results that these engines give. Therefore, you must use the right internet marketing techniques to get a high search engine ranking. To gain a high ranking in search results, you can use several internet marketing techniques. Search engine optimization is a set of methods that are aimed at improving the visibility of your site in search engine results. Since a search engine indexes sites by looking at its keyword density, your site’s content must have favorable keyword density that is search engine friendly. Content is one of the most important internet marketing technique itself. If you have excellent content that is geared towards achieving a high search engine ranking as well as provide information then you can expect a high search engine ranking. However, this is not as easy as it sounds. Countless other sites may be using the same internet marketing technique as you do. Thus, you must continuously find new ways of attracting more website traffic.
Aside from the traditional marketing techniques such as print ads, billboards, brochures, testimonials, flyers etc. you must use other more effective internet marketing techniques to gain more website traffic. One of the most popular internet marketing technique today is submitting articles. Writing and submitting articles is an extremely powerful method for promoting your websites, products, and services.
By writing short articles on the topic related to your website, you can offer these articles for other website owners or newsletter publishers to use by submitting them to an article directory.
These directories get spidered by the search engines on a regular basis because of the high value of the content they provide. If you have not yet been picked up by the search engines this is the easiest way to get them to find you. You also get exposure to those who look for articles in the directories for use on their sites.
When they make use of your articles on their websites or in their newsletters, you will get the credit as the author along with a link to your website. Not only will you gain visitors, but you will benefit from the hyperlinks that are created.
This internet marketing technique is now being used by thousands of site owners. It is also gaining popularity because of its relatively high success rate in attracting high website traffic.

Sitemaps prove helpful as search engine spiders can quickly identify which pages have been updated lately. What is Traffic Blazer and what are its benefits?
As we know a lot of your web site traffic will come through search engines like Google, Yahoo! and MSN. You will have people visit your site through word of mouth, but an easy method to getting your name out is to be in the top 10 for specific search strings. Traffic Blazer promotes your business and web site through various methods I will describe shortly to increase your visibility on the internet and to make you more money. It will do this in a few simple steps and your site will be promoted with a few clicks and some entering of information.
Lets see how it claims to market your web site.
1) Through Blog Search Engine Submission. I have recently come across this method and have began and submitted my own blog in regards to Web Design / Domain Names. Blogs seem to be the new “it thing” to get your site out there quickly. People read your blog and from your blog you can link to your website to gain one way links to your web site. This will increase your chances of gaining a higher search engine ranking. So it naturally seems to me submitting them to blog search engines will get your blog more in the spot light and increase your traffic further.
Just be careful if you decide to create a blog, and submit to blog search engines. Don’t post too often in your blogs, only 1-2 times per day, or else it may be perceived by the search engines that you are using the blog only to gain advertising. This may hurt you in the long run, such as dropping in ranking or even being completely wiped out of the search engine ranking.
2) Through actual Search Engine and Directories Submission. This is very useful as the more search engines that list you, the greater it will have your site out on the internet for people to see. If you do this by hand as I did, this is a very time consuming task and having it automated helps the process a lot. It claims to submit to over 200 search engines and directories which is good, but in reality there is about four you definately need to submit to: google, yahoo, msn and DMOZ. This may seem like this step is pointless to submit to over 200 places, but the more you get the name out there the better. Some people are dedicated to using smaller search engines and this can generate extra business you would not have otherwise.
3) Site Optimization – it says it will position your web site for top rankings with Google and other leading search engines, but I am still unclear as to how. My guess would be it suggests replacement words in your content to allow the major search engines to clearly see what the page is about. I still think your own site optimization, if you know how to optimize it for the search engines, is the best option. Otherwise, this may be a viable option for people with lesser experience on optimizing.
4) Site Analysis – It analyzes your site’s strengths and potential weaknesses to help you secure crucial search engine success. This is a great tool in my opinion, as it may see something that you do not in your site that may be causing your rankings to be lower than they should be.
5) Keyword Optimization – It helps you find effective keywords for your web site. One benefit of using Traffic Blazer for this, is it shows you the words and phrases actual search engine users have searched for that are related to your site and will optimize the site for these keywords. This definately is a great asset.
6) List Checking Report / Ranking Report – it tells you where you are located in the major search engines. This is useful if you quickly want to know where you stand in the search engines for particular search phrases. Trying to find your site ranking in the search engines is tedious to by hand, and this will reduce time it takes to find this information out.
7) HTML Verification – checks your site for HTML code problems. This is a great tool and you should always make sure the HTML for your page is up to W3C standards. You can look at http://www.w3.org/ to find out about these standards, and I believe there is also an online checker there provided for free, as an alternative to using it through Traffic Blazer, but will not provide as clear results.
9) Traffic Essentials – you receive a free guide to search engine optimization and the search engine industry. Many other places will charge as much as the cost of Traffic Blazer for similar guides, however this package is included in here. This definately will increase your awareness on what search engine optimization is and why you definately need to do it for your website to increase traffic and sales!
Overall I think this looks like a great package, and although many will agree you can do lots of this “Marketing” on your own, Traffic Blazer does allow you to complete the same in a much shorter time. The time savings you get from using this and not having to do it on your own definately makes paying the cost and purchasing Traffic Blazer something you should look into.
One thing I do not mention is the cost of Traffic Blazer and you may find it at various sources.
At Domains at Retail, the cost is only $39.95 / year. This is a great price if you have limited search engine optimization experience, and do not want to hire the services of a professional who can not even guarantee top placement.
You can view more information at Domains at Retail: Traffic Blazer site: http://www.domainsatretail.com/trafficblazer.html
Hope I have helped give insight into this product, and if it is the right product for you!
Good Luck with your Search Engine Optimization strategies and success!
Submitting articles to article directories is often a tedious process that involves author registration, proper formatting, and familiarity with the editorial guidelines set by each publisher. There are now hundreds of article directories that cater to both the general and niche markets. Because of the desire of authors to get their articles published on as many places as possible and the sheer number of article directories on the web, some authors have turned to automated submission software and third-party submission services to hasten the submission process.
The use of third-party submission agents presents an ethical problem. While some article directories don’t care how articles are submitted to them, as long as the articles meet their editorial guidelines, many rely on authors as a major source of traffic to their sites. They want you, the author, to browse their sites, read their submission guidelines, and become a regular visitor to their sites in return for distributing your article.
Any article directory that cares about the quality of articles they publish will spend some time to review each submitted article before publishing it. As an article publisher myself, I can attest to the work involved in reviewing, reformatting, and correcting minor errors of every article submitted to me. Since I get hundreds of submissions every day, I am forced to reject any articles that appear as if they’ve been submitted by a third party or through an automated submission process.
It’s not exactly rocket science to distinguish between an article submitted by hand and one submitted through an automated process. The software-submitted article may be improperly formatted, suggesting that the submitter never bothered to read the submission guidelines before submitting their article. It may be missing a required field, or it may be submitted to the wrong category. Different article sites stipulate different guidelines and requirements for what they accept. It’s not possible for an automated submitter to take into account all of these differences to allow you to submit to several hundred directories with a few clicks of the mouse button.
Many article publishers do not even allow manual submissions by third-party submission services. A common telltale sign that an article has been submitted through a third-party service is when a single author account is used to submit multiple articles with different resource boxes. Submissions from multiple author accounts from a single IP address are another indication of third-party submission.
Any software program that promises to “do 99% of the work for you” does nothing more than spamming your article all over the web. Some of these spam machines even post a link along with your article back to the submission software. This is a sure-fire way to get your article rejected and even get you banned from some directories.
Ideally, authors should submit their articles by hand. Meanwhile, there is an understandable need for a way to quickly submit to a great number of sites. An acceptable compromise between laborious manual submission and a completely automated process is a semi-manual tool that allows you to browse article sites as well as quickly submit articles to them. Article Submitter is an inexpensive semi-manual submitter that stores your article, personal information, and resource box as you visit each article site. When you’re ready to submit your article, the software auto-fills the submission forms for you, eliminating the need for tedious copying and pasting. The whole process is very much like manual submission, only a lot faster.

The positive effect and return on investment that good SEO can provide is no secret. Millions of businesses have been able to achieve amazing success thanks to well-timed and executed SEO marketing campaigns. Digital marketing continues to give commercial internet users the opportunity to connect with billions of daily users. And as the technology develops, the tools available to us all for marketing and promotion are becoming ever more powerful.
Looking at it from a partial point of view, internet marketing is done for revenue generation. And yes, increase in sales revenue is generally the final result, and the most tangible outcome obtained from a successful marketing online. However, good SEO campaigns can help us to achieve so much more than sales.
This article looks at the benefits of SEO by suggesting specific ways to improve your own SEO campaigns so they deliver better, measurable results.
Keywords
Keywords are essential devices used to make sure the search bots notice our content. Choosing the right keyword phrases will have a direct influence on how successfully your website climbs up the rankings. The right keywords are those that are most often used by your target demographic to find the products and services you are selling. Good keywords help you to build brand recognition and the right combination will align you with your competition and your target audience. Remember that over-stuffing of keywords is never a good idea, and can result in your website/business being penalised by the search engine. The measurable results here are hits to your website, visits to your website, unique page visits, bounce rate, visit duration, and your ranking on search engines.
Back-links
Back-links continue to be a prickly subject in some quarters. Google's recent updates are making it much harder for the spammers who once flooded the internet with badly written spam disguised as article marketing. And rightly so! As a consequence, many people believe the age of the article is dead. We disagree. There is still much to be gained from sharing news articles, PR, blogs, and content. However, there is no doubt that sharing well written content, which contains back-links to your website, is one of the most powerful SEO tactics.
Avoid automated back-links or link generators, these will back fire and bring your ranking down, or you could be removed from search engines altogether. Don't forget to add the right keywords and authorship to all your articles with back-links. The measurable results are click-through rates, click-through figures, hits to your website, visits to your website, unique page visits, bounce rate, visit duration, and your ranking on search engines.
Be your brand
Your brand identity is far more than your logo, and the colours you choose on your website. It represents every facet of your business and how you present all these aspects to your customers. Every part of your content and SEO activity should reflect your brand. This gives your company a 'voice' and a 'personality' that will be memorable to users and make an impact on them. Think about strong brands that have succeed online and look at how they incorporate their brand image in every part of their content and communications. Spend time developing your own unique style, personality, and traits. These will all work together to become your business brand. Once you have this, it will directly influence all the content you create and all your SEO marketing activities too. Measurable results for a strong brand will be click-through rates, click-through figures, hits to your website, visits to your website, unique page visits, bounce rate, visit duration, and your ranking on search engines. In addition you will see measurable results from enquiries, and sales.
Check your own SEO tactics now, have a look at your own metrics and start planning how you can make improvements

It is highly recommended that you SEO your blog content. It is not recommended however that you make your blog sound stiff and technical for the sake of attracting search engines. When it comes to actually incorporating your keywords into your blog copy keep in mind that the best blogs are the ones that sound casual. Nobody wants to read a robotic repetitive piece of copy.
One key to keeping your blog looking neat and readable is to keep the content less than 300 words. 250 words per blog is idea. Keeping them looking reasonably uniform and the same length is also more visually eye catching and more likely to keep curious eyeballs on your page and not someone else’s.
Another thing you need to note is the way the headline of your blog article looks. Shorter is almost always better. Long search engine optimized blog titles don’t work if they are cut off at the end. Make sure that any blog headlines that you have are.
You should also make sure that your blog headlines are not too commercial or corny sounding. For instance a blog title such as “Make thousands a day using SEO!” is not going to work as well as a subtler phrase such as “How SEO Let Me Quit My Day Job.” Corny headlines look like spam to a lot of people when they get them on their RSS feeds so their eyes simply glaze over when they see something like “Hoodia Miracle Weight Loss Drug!” or “Grow Bigger Breasts in Three Days.”
Unless the acronym is very well known you are also supposed to stay away from using them as headlines in your blog. However this is not advised if your SEO title is too long as in “Valuable tips for Utilizing Search Engine Tips for Blogs.” It is much better to keep the language very simple as in “Top SEO Tips!”

If your business is dependant on customers visiting your website, then you should take a second and ask yourself if you’re happy with the amount of business you’re receiving from your site. If the answer is yes and you’re overloaded with work, then you probably already had your site optimized or chose other means of advertising. However, being that you’re reading this article, you are probably in search of answers or suggestions as to creating more traffic to your website.
Now that we got that out of the way, let’s address why optimization is important. For starters, who doesn’t want more business, right? I mean business is money and almost everyone I know enjoys making more money.
So, with that being said, seo is an essential part of the online community when it comes to actually making money.
The reason I’m saying this is because the web is a vast place.
Whatever your company sells or offers as a service is more than likely offered by many others. Some of your competitors have probably already had their site optimized. My point being is that there are probably 100′s if not 1000′s of sites ahead of you in the search engines.
A professional SEO can rank your site and bring EFFECTIVE traffic your way. Let’s use an example. Let’s say you’re selling candles and you want your site to come up in Google when some one types in “candles”.
Now there is definitely some competition going on to rank for that key term, but not a whole lot. You’re competing with roughly 7 million other sites using that term. Now you’re probably saying to yourself 7 million! That’s a lot! It may sound like a lot, but it’s not that bad.
The term “candles” was searched a total of 2,580 times over the last 110 days. This is according to a very accurate tool we use to find key terms to use. Let’s say you rank #1 for that term and you get everyone who searched for that term to click on your site. Now, assuming you get 10% of the total traffic to complete a sale, that is 258 sales.
Assuming a candle is 5 dollars and each person only purchased ONE candle. 5×258 = $1290 Not bad right? The hard part is done. That’s getting people to your site. Now all you have to do is sit back, relax, and watch sales increase. The possibilities are endless!
Over the last few years, search engine optimization (SEO) has been needed and used more and more, although it has been around for much longer than most people think. With new development tools being used to create websites that are heavy on Java, Flash and images, it’s important to have something that the search engines can read. If the content can’t be read by search engines then they can’t index it, and if your site doesn’t get indexed then it won’t be found when people search for it on Google, Yahoo, MSN, or anywhere else. This article will outline what SEO is, how it works, and some unethical SEO methods that you should avoid.
What is SEO?
SEO is a way of analyzing your site and modifying it to allow search engines to read and index it more easily. SEO is all about maintaining and building websites that get ranked highly on the major search engines.
You see, when people use a search engine, they generally don’t look beyond the top 20 or so results. If you want to make any money from your website, you need to get ranked in the top 20 out of potentially hundreds of websites.
How Does SEO Work?
Search engines maintain a huge database containing information from individual websites. Most of the information search engines collect isn’t listed on their results pages, but it is taken into consideration when it comes to deciding those results’ rankings.
It is very important that you encourage the search engines to rank your website in a high position, and you can do this through the keywords that you use on your website, as well as when you submit it. If the keywords you use in your submission tool don’t match the ones on your site then you could harm your rankings – be sure to have all the keywords you want to use on the website itself before you submit it.
Most websites don’t focus on their topic well, and so keyword lists containing 50 or more phrases per page are recommended. By focusing some of the pages of your site on keywords, you will score higher with the search engines.
Free Search Engines.
The major search engines on the Internet are still free, and it’s not hard to take advantage of this free advertising – you can do it in as little as an hour.
There are several companies that provide free SEO tools, or you can pay a professional to take care of it for you. Looking around on the web will turn up all sorts of useful resources.
What is Unethical SEO?
Unethical search engine optimization techniques can be unlawful, unscrupulous, or just in bad taste. You’d be surprised how many people use these methods. A lot of what is now called unethical SEO used to be accepted, until people went overboard and it started to have a negative affect on the web as a whole.
Keyword stuffing is when your site consists of long lists of keywords and nothing else. Don’t do it. There are ways to put keywords and phrases on your site without running the risk of getting banned.
You may have seen ‘invisible text’ if you’ve been selecting the text on a page and found words that are the same color as the background. This text is often lists of keywords put there in the hope of fooling search engine spiders while hiding the words from visitors. This is considered unethical, and you shouldn’t do it.
A doorway page is a page that isn’t designed for real people to see – it’s purely for the search engines and spiders, in an attempt to trick them into indexing the website in a higher position. This is a big no-no and should be avoided.
Even though unethical SEO is tempting, and does work, you shouldn’t do it – not only is it annoying to users, but it’s likely to get you banned from the search engines sooner or later. You sites’ search engine rankings just aren’t worth the risk. Use efficient SEO techniques to get your site ranked higher, and stay away from anything that even looks like unethical SEO.
SEO is a set of techniques used in order to attract visitors or prospective customers to your website, and the goal of a search engine is to provide high quality content to the users of the Internet. These two objectives are not in opposition, if you do SEO the way it should be done.

The best way to get people and search engines (which means more people) to your website is by getting relevant inbound links. If you have some spiffy new gimmick on your website this may be easy as everyone will be linking to you.
However, with a basic, solid web page the process maybe much more difficult and slower. How do you get people to link to you?
The best way is to empty your wallet! Ok, just kidding, but first we will learn how easy that is.
For example there is a pay for blogging service that will cost you at least $5 per blog post (ie: per link) and maybe $25 or more. Now that will eat up your budget, and fast. These paid blog links don’t come with any guarantee. You might get lots of visitors and you might not get any at all.
Pay per click is another great option for spending all your money. This will bring you visitors for sure and you’ll know how much each one costs. That’s it. There is no long term benefit. The ads show for only as long as you pay for them. When your money isn’t on the table, you don’t exist!
You can buy links all over the place and again this may end up costing you a pretty penny, you may or may not get suitable results but when you stop paying the results (good or bad) stop. You gain nothing for the future.
Now blogs are a great way to get visitors and develop a long term return. Blog posts tend to stick around for a long time. The trick here is to get people to blog about your website without forking over a bundle of your hard earned cash.
A great idea is to become a guest blogger. This would be where you write blog posts for other people’s blogs. Read: your links on someone else’s website for free!
This puts you in the drivers seat for a couple of reasons. First you have control over exactly what is said. Secondly, if you do a good job you may have the opportunity to make regular blog posts. That will build an audience on the blogs for your writing and turn into more and higher quality traffic for your website.
The key to being a great guest blogger is to write short (3 to 6 or so paragraph) posts that are interesting, informative, humorous and relevant to the topic of the blog (and your website). Of course they should have a link to your website. Don’t over do the linking. Don’t make it sound like an advertisement or something you just cut and pasted from your website.
A few minutes to compose a couple of well thought out paragraphs could do wonders for your web traffic. Keep looking for guest blogging opportunities and never use the same post for more than one blog. One post could bring a lifetime of traffic.
This may well be your most effective way to developing quality web traffic and enhancing your the SEO for your website(s).
There is nothing attractive in a solid volume of text that has over four thousand words in it. It is better to structure the text making paragraphs and giving a separate headline for each. Use a lot of white space and do not make paragraphs too expanded. Try to make your content salable and informative. Make the title the exact reflection of the paragraph so visitors may spot just what they are looking for. General information is important but the core “hook” shouldn’t be hidden between fancy phrases destined to furnish the text. The main point of creating of the website should stand out from the text.
Structure your website in the way that makes its usage easier for a client. Divide information into several web pages that make the information of the page easier to find. But consider that it takes more time to download and print out information organized like this. Attract attention by making a graphical illustration of your benefits and features, arranging it all into a nice composite of graphics and text. The last advice would be to research. This field is relatively new for the marketing agents and there is still a lot to explore. Do not be afraid to experiment, to research and develop new strategies, new solutions for content and new ways to attract customers. This is a sphere where you can give an idea for a revolution in this business, so act open-mindedly and freely and success will come to you eventually.
Success in a company is not about having the best technology or being the smartest or even about having the best customer service (although none of these could hurt). More than ever, success is now measured in speed. Today it is about thriving in an ever-evolving world where everything changes so rapidly – and that applies to any business. Today is a world surrounded by buyers who want it now, want perfection and impeccable service.
In order to succeed online, your business needs to be organized and able to handle the increased business your web site is going to generate. Here are some guidelines for running a business of speed and complete service.
1. Run your business of speed.
It’s a new phenomenon called Internet time; it’s a 24/7 kind of world today. This means if you’re business is not moving ahead 24 hours a day 7 days a week, your business is falling deeply behind. Internet time means not only doing business quickly but doing it anytime the customer wants and for as long as the customer wants it done. This I what the customers demand, and what every company doing business online needs to offer. The end result is a business that is always working, always aware of potential business, one that is always one call, email or fax away from their clients.
2. Having effective meetings means having short meetings.
Meetings are the annoyance of many employees workplace. They involve too little discussion, take up too much time, little gets accomplished, people ramble on too much, and respect and open discussion are often not granted. Meetings though are imperative, but the way in which they are run can definitely be changed for the better. Because the Internet world moves so fast, companies doing business online cannot afford to have unproductive meetings.
First set some genuine detail-oriented goals for the meeting. Let people have the option of attending, especially if the issues discussed have nothing to do with them. Post the meeting summary in a place commonly seen by employees, such as the break room. Start and end your meetings on time, and stay within thirty minutes to one hour. Have two or three shorter meetings through the day, with short goals to be accomplished by the next meeting. Also, don’t bore people with anything not on the agenda. Lastly, make the meetings enjoyable; use skits, slideshows, charts, even puppets to get your point across. These moments will likely stick in employee’s heads over the long, drawn-out boring ones.
3. Email several times a day.
In the Internet world, CEOs and employees alike uses technology to supercharge productivity. With all of the pagers, cell phones, laptops, personal organizers and more, email is definitely the most valuable tool. Set up email power sessions with employees; it allows for communication with many employees at the same time and resolves any issues fast. With an email message, you are ensured your message gets delivered to all the right people exactly how you wanted to say it, without the hassle of applying phone tag with employees or risk miscommunication and misunderstanding. Throughout the work day, make blocks of time strictly to email (sending and receiving) at least three to four times a day too.
4. Brand matters on the Internet.
If your business is going to succeed in the Internet world, you will not only need to capture the market share, but also work on improving customer relationships. Whenever your potential or current customers need your products or services, where will they go online? Which Web site will they choose first? Will it be yours? Some tips to increase your business brand online include discovering a way to position yourself as being unique from your competitors. Create the right image, and be sure you continue to reinforce that brand image in everything your company does online and offline. Increase the number of online visitors to your Web site through a variety of Internet marketing strategies. Even if your business only sells locally, do not be afraid to think and market yourself internationally on the Internet. Advertise, advertise, advertise. Remember the importance of earning your customers trust too.
5. The power of feedback.
Ask your customers for feedback, through emails, surveyed phone calls, feedback forms on your Web site, case studies and letters. Ask for feedback often, whenever you are testing out a new product, reviewing sales on an existing product or service, or simply because you want to know how your customers feel about your company. Don’t neglect receiving feedback from your employees too; they know your business too because they work with you.
6. Most importantly, have fun!
Create a working environment where your employees feel free to mix a little fun into their daily routines and express themselves comfortably. After all, a happy employee is a productive one. Let your employees know they are appreciated and needed too, and they will be proud to come to work with you.
The Internet world is about building a better business environment through increased communication, greater convenience, personal enjoyment and greater access to information. How does your business measure up online?

I have written articles about website promotion in the past, however things on the internet are always changing and my opinions have now changed. This article is all about my new website promotion ideas, ideas which I use on my all of websites.
A good linking campaign is the main priority. Attempting to increase the number of backward links you have pointing to your website is essential. However you have to be careful. Here is a list of do’s and do not’s.
Do:
Increase the number of backward links pointing to your website slowly
Obtain backward links from within the same industry/market as your own
Build up the number of one-way links your website has pointing to it
Write articles and submit them to article directories
Add your website domain on all of your adverts, documentation and e-mails
Offer the visitors to your site the chance to sign up to a monthly newsletter
Offer the visitors to your site a free e-book
Write press releases
Do not:
Join a link building website to automate your linking requirements. These are tempting to join however are frowned upon by the search engines. Always remember hard work pays off.
Increase the number of backward links to quickly
Purchase too many link text ads
Just leave your website without any promotion, it will not grow on its own
Build hidden pages
In my opinion one-way links are vital. These are the most powerful form of backward link and the search engines love them. I can see no way in which they can penalise a site that is only acquiring these type of links.
The best and easiest way of obtaining these one-way links is by writing articles like the one you are reading. Once you have written the article, you then need to submit it to a number of article directories. You are able to add a link to your website on the bottom of the article and the hope is that other webmasters will want to include your article on their website, thus giving you a one-way link.
I have been writing articles for around a year and I must say it has done wonders for my businesses. The number of visitors to my sites have rocketed and the page rank have also steadily increased.
I hope you have found this article interesting to read and beneficial to you.
Good luck with your website promotion campaign
